A Chinese Landscape Dream Stone inscribed with a poem. The stone reminiscent of the Yuan landscapes in the style of Ni Zan. These rock were treasured by Chinese Literati and Scholars. This art form is centuries of years old since the Ming dynasty. Dream stones became favored art in the west particularly since the 19th century when French collectors named them “pierres de reve.”. This stone comes from a French Private collection Condition Size 22cm, some crackling in the stone
