About the Item
A wonderful green glaze adorns this early 20th century Chinese ceramic pork lard storage jar. The characters on its front side translate to "Pork Lard". This jar features a wonderful contrast from a predominantly dark green glaze on its front size, that slowly progresses into a mix of turquoise pigment toward the back of the jar. In the modern-day, this would make for a beautiful decorative bowl or as a planter for one's home garden. The marks, stains and fading to the jar that have developed of the decades contributes to its charm.
