About the Item
A fine and attractive pair of Chinese turquoise glazed dogs of foo figures dating from the first half of the 20th century. The stylish pair hollow biscuit porcelain figures are modelled standing and looking sideways with open mouths showing teeth and with black painted eyes. Both have unglazed foot pads and have finely molded details richly decorated in turquoise glazes which have pooled within the molded ridges. Both have corresponding impressed numeral marks 604 to the base of one paw and printed 2 mark in black.
Provenance: Acquired from the British Art Market.
