About the Item
A wonderful blue-green glaze typical of Chinese "Shiwan" pottery adorns this early 20th Century Chinese storage jar. Shiwan ware is a style of Chinese pottery from the Shiwanzhen district near Guangdong. In the modern-day, this would make for a beautiful decorative bowl or as a planter for one's home garden. The marks and stains to the jar which have developed over the past century contribute to its charm.
There is a shallow crack on the underside of the Jar (highlighted in the last image). However this does not hinder its structure or rigidity.
