Early 20th century Chinese Famille Noire porcelain ovoid ginger jar with lid.
Wonderful ovoid shape jar with nature themed design hand painted with large birds, flowers, koi fish, lily pads, dragonflies and butterflies. Soft shades of peach, pink, green, yellow and lavender vibrantly adorn the matte black background in this delightful work. Fantastic in that it is different from every angle as the design is free flowing. The pointed finial lid is intact.
This is simply beautiful. Marked with stamp on the bottom. It pairs nicely with another jar of similar size, shape and age under a separate listing. They are so pretty together. Please see last photo.
