"“huê Blue” Porcelain Bowl – 19th Century, “imperial Intendance” (內府) Mark" Antique Bleu de Huê Porcelain Bowl – 19th Century, Marked “Imperial Household” (內府) A fine Bleu de Huê porcelain bowl, produced in Jingdezhen (China) for the Vietnamese market, Nguyen dynasty, 19th century. Material: Porcelain, underglaze blue decoration Design: Decorated in rich cobalt blue with floral scrolls and blossoms, interspersed with poetic Chinese calligraphy in elegant vertical script. Mark: The base bears the two-character mark 「內府」(Imperial Household), an honorific mark imitating imperial wares. Features: Fitted with its original metal rim mount, typical of 19th-century export wares. Dimensions: Diameter 11 cm Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The glaze is bright and clean, with only minimal wear consistent with age. Provenance Context Bleu de Huê porcelain was made in China exclusively for the Vietnamese royal court in Huế during the Nguyen dynasty. These refined blue-and-white wares, often inscribed with auspicious poetry, were prized by the imperial family and aristocracy. Pieces in such fine condition are now increasingly rare on the market.
