About the Item

This is believed to be a small incense burner made in Japan during the Meiji and early Taisho periods (1868-1920). The design is very simple but beautiful. Plants are drawn with iron painting, and white glaze is applied from above. Also, the part circled in red is cracked, but it is stopped in the middle, so there is no need to worry about it breaking. Also, there is a small chip on the toe, but it is not particularly noticeable. It must have been used with great care. It seems to be in relatively good condition as an old one. Also, the bottom of this pottery is written "Suwa-Haraizumi". This Suwa refers to the area in Nagano Prefecture, and it is likely that this pottery was made in Nagano Prefecture. It says Hara Izumi, but I didn't know if it was the author's name or what it meant. 　 Because it is small, it can be used as an incense burner and can also be used as an incense holder. It's nice to put potpourri in it. Also, if you put water in it and leave it for a long time, the legs will get damp, so it is not suitable for use as a vase. It's definitely made in Japan, but I've seen oak antiques and I think this is a relatively rare design. Recommended item. Weight: 1.05kg
