About the Item

An impressive and visually striking floor vase from early 19th-century Manchuria, China. Crafted in stoneware, the vase features a strong, architectural shape and a distinctive surface. The glaze transitions from a warm reddish-brown base to deep olive green at the top, where it flows downward in rich, natural streaks of darker and ochre tones. The shoulder area is executed with a deliberately irregular, textured surface that adds depth and character to the piece. The design reflects Japanese ceramic influence and stands as a fine example of Chinese stoneware craftsmanship from the period. Manchuria, China, 1800-1850
