About the Item
A large fine antique Chinese export porcelain serving tray.
In the Canton pattern.
Decorated in underglaze blue.
Depicting a mountainous Chinese village to the top of the lid and the long sides of the body. The background has houses, mountains, and a pagoda. The midground is a river with boats and some more houses. The foreground depicts a bridge across the river, a rocky outcropping, trees, and another structure.
Simply a wonderful example of Canton porcelain!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Condition Details:
There are two noticeable glaze skips below the picture a large firing flaw to the underside of the rim, and popped bubbles in the glaze around the circumference of the rim. Otherwise, there are some fine
light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
