About the Item

A fine matched pair of antique Delft Chinoiserie plates. In tin glazed blue and white Dutch Delft pottery. The center with blue underglaze floral decoration and the rim with white hand-painted geometric devices and a scalloped edge. Simply a wonderful example of antique Delft pottery! Date: 18th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: One of the plates has a repairs with overpaint to the rim. Both plates have fritting, typical losses to the glaze, and tiny chips around the edges. Both plates also have some glaze skips and firing here and there to both the front and the back. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some light dings and indentations here and there, some fine and light surface scratches, and other signs of light wear consistent with age. Measurements: Height: ca. 1 in. Diameter: ca. 8 3/4 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you. Purchases may be returned for any reason for a period of 7 days.
