Each panel is of substantial size, encased in finely carved hardwood frames with brass mounts, standing 34 inches high, 12.5 inches wide, and 1.25 inches deep. The hand-painted rectangular porcelain plaques measure 28.5 inches high by 8 inches wide and showcase robed scholars engaged in contemplative activities amidst natural scenery, a classic motif symbolizing wisdom and scholarly pursuits. Each plaque features inscriptions and artist seals in the upper corners, adding authenticity and cultural depth to the pieces. The intricate brushwork and vivid colors highlight the skillful artistry typical of the Republic period.
