About the Item
A fine pair of antique Chinese export porcelain chestnut baskets and underplates.
In the Canton pattern.
Decorated in underglaze blue.
Both plates and baskets are reticulated throughout and have blue underglaze border decoration.
The centers depicting a mountainous Chinese village scene. The background has houses, mountains, and a pagoda. The midground is a river with boats and some more houses. The foreground depicts a bridge across the river, a rocky outcropping, trees, and another structure.

Condition Details:
There are some small flaws and glaze skips to the rim of one plate. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs and some fine
light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
