About the Item

These petite glazed jars from China's Shanxi province exemplify the timeless appeal of handcrafted pottery. Once used in an apothecary to hold ground herbs and oils for traditional medicines, the little jars charm with precious scale and a glossy, drip glaze finish. All three vessels are cloaked in a light brown glaze that sheets down the ridged sides and lingers beautifully on each imperfection for variegated shades of orange, green and blue.
