About the Item
A small Korean ceramic shallow bowl on ringed foot in the classic Buncheong (or Punch'ong) style from Joseon Dynasty circa 15-16th century. Originally intended for wine-drinking likely, the bowl features a tight white slip decoration using stamping technique. Centered around a chrysanthemum mandala, radiating comb patterns were circled by neatly drawn concentric line on the outer portion. The same tight concentric lines are also found circulating exterior, thus creating a coherent feeling. The decoration was done profusely as the typical early Buncheong ware. The piece, albert small, shows off a nice patina and a quiet.
