About the Item
A very fine and unusual antique Chinese porcelain teacup hand painted in coloured enamels and dating from Yongzheng reign 1723-1735. The white glazed cup has a tall round ribbed body with a looped handle applied to one side and is hand painted with stylized precious objects set amidst cloud patterning in tones of blue, yellow, red, green and black and set against a white glazed ground. The cup is not marked and is in good presentable condition with a fine crack around the base of the handle.
Provenance: From the ? Cook Esq Collection with collection label attached to the base.
