About the Item

This early 20th century Chinese table is designed after classic altar table forms used for ancestor worship in the home. The table has a slightly splayed form, with recessed legs, an overhung top with floating panel, and a paneled front with two drawers secured by brass lock plates. A red lacquer finish cloaks the exterior, now worn from time and lightly faded to reveal the warm coloring of the elmwood beneath. Additional Dimensions: Drawers: 13.75"W x 18"D x 4.5"H
