Burmese Lacquer box. Round Burmese Vintage Lacquer Box.
Special lacquering technique to make the color and design on this lacquer piece. Unlike most Burmese Lacquerware this is not etched design. The design is achieved through layering of the lacquer. Wonderful bronzed gold and brown tones with black. This lacquerware box is able to hold liquid amongst many other items that you may have. They are a very interesting design with brilliant coloring. Completely hand made. Great for gifting, collecting and stashing. Lacquerware is an admired and collected artform. Collections of Burmese Lacquer are in museums internationally with books available exclusively on Burmese lacquerware for collectors.

A lacquered cylindrical body of woven turned Bamboo decorated by incised lacquer overall with Chu-pan variant motif and traditional Folk Art characters. This Betel Box has four bowls that make up the entire box. This is a complete Burmese Lacquerware Betel Box.
