This Chinese-style red lacquered console table features an elegant demi lune shape with intricate hand-painted floral and geometric designs.  A narrow patterned border frames the top. The apron and legs are intricately carved with geometric and stylized motifs, reflecting classical Chinese design elements. Four carved and decorated legs are joined by a rounded stretcher base, providing both structural stability and visual balance. This console table was made during the late Qing Dynasty (19 century) in Beijing under direct imperial control. It is very unique because you can't see more of this carved lacquer furniture survived from those period. The workmanship is superb.
