About the Item
A good, large, antique Chinese Qing dynasty bronze and cloisonne censer, circa 1900.
The lidded censer having a Chinese lion (Shi) to the lid, the body and lid inlaid with floral cloisonne motifs, the sides having handles in an archaistic style, the base engraved and pierced with heart shaped decoration. The underside with a square four character tributory mark.
Condition is good, the censer from the estate of a prominent California gentleman.
