Antique Hindu brass decorative box.
This is an antique Mughal style brass Indian ornate locking trinket box container.
It has six compartments that lock in, by the peacock in the middle being screwed in.
Ideally used to store colorful powders for ceremonial Hindu beauty rituals or condiments.
Peacock shape handcrafted cast brass box with peacock figures and elephants.
Handcrafted in solid brass by artisans in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Unique star shape brass box.
This antique storage box has six heart shaped containers with hinged lids and finials in the form of peacock, which each open and close independently.
The main finial is a peacock which is a sacred Indian bird. The finial unscrews releasing the lids.
The base has 5 feet in the form of elephant on which the metal caddy rests upon.
The Peacocks and the elephants are believed to be a divine symbols and peacock are of the symbol of pride and beauty.
