About the Item
A unique and incredible antique piece of Indian ethnic art. A rare Danpappat or just patta, which is deriving from Maharashtra State in India and was used by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his followers. In ancient times, Dandapatti was referred to as 'Pattish'. It has an incredibly ornate pierced Brass Beast Face inlaid with various forms of filigree decoration. This Patta dates from late 1800s and is in a fantastic condition, it can be used as an unusual decorative object or as an exceptional wall decoration, it is in a great condition. The metal has a fantastic patina and an exquisite finish, this is an eccentric, but still very beautiful piece of art. The price includes free shipping.
