About the Item

A monumental bronze vase with a dark brown patina, depicting a Ryu dragon in high relief. The vase has a cylindrical shape with a flared base reminiscent of Mount Fuji’s profile. The dragon’s body coils around the entire surface, which is engraved with circular whirl motifs enhancing the sense of movement, while elements such as the head and claws are rendered in pronounced three-dimensional relief. Signed in relief under the base within a square reserve. Period: Edo, mid-19th century Dimensions: 41 × 35 cm Weight: 12.6 kg Condition: Excellent.
