Leadership and Legacy: He co-founded influential art associations such as the Creative Crafts Association and the Japan Contemporary Arts and Crafts Association. His legacy is also cemented through his role as a professor and later professor emeritus at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Highest Honors: He was a member of the Japan Art Academy and was posthumously awarded the Junior Third Rank court rank, a rare honor reflecting his immense contribution to Japanese culture.
Public Monuments: His large-scale public works, such as the "Bridge of the Four Islands" monument in Hokkaido, attest to the grand scale and national importance of his artistry.
