About the Item
A very fine Japanese cast Copper Tiger in a rich deep brown patina in defensive pose with open snarling mouth and rampant tail. Details include yellow glass eye (one missing), fine Stylized musculature, back stripes and signature chop mark located on the underside. The Tiger stands on a spectacular hand carved many level base with foliate and rock ridge carving.
Dimensions: 29.5” long by 13.5” deep by 15” high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. The Tiger is missing one of the glass eyes and the base has an acceptable stable age split and there are some minor scratches mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is striking and magnificent.
