About the Item

Copper Vase Size:φ360×350㎜ 6kg Estimate packing size: 550×500×550㎜ 15㎏ This is a vase called a usuhata 薄端. It has a distinctive shape, but is used to hold flowers in the top part. This thin vase is displayed in a tokonoma alcove. It can be separated into four sections for easy storage. Flowers are placed in the round top part. It is decorated with decorations reminiscent of raindrops, and the sides of the cylindrical part below that are decorated with silver inlay. Also known as plum blossom ice crack pattern, it combines designs of ice and plum blossoms. The bottom part is also inlaid with other metals, reminiscent of raindrops. It is a rather unusual design even among usuhata 薄端, and appears to be made up of several parts fused together. The size is perfect, but I have rarely seen such an unusual combination. The inside of the cylinder is made from a remade antique mirror that acts as a lid. It appears that it was customised in many ways to arrive at its current shape. It will be shipped in a wooden box. ▲▲ Notes ▲▲ *In order to build a relationship of trust with our customers, please be sure to contact us via the inquiry form before purchasing.
