About the Item

A vintage Indonesian gong, polychromed and repurposed for a freestanding sculpture. Mounted on a black metal stand. Circa 1940. The front is painted in deep, well affixed colors simulating a star. The back has been left in its natural condition, revealing its original texture, color and patina. For decorative purposes only. 25 inches tall, 18 inches in diameter, approximately 8 inches deep. Base dimensions: 12 x 7.5 inches.
