About the Item
An antique Japanese, late Meiji era, enamel over gilt copper plate. The interior of the plate is adorned with polychrome enamel figural medallions depicting fans with birds, blossoming flowers, and sakura trees on the black ground made in the Cloisonne technique. the charger is adorned with scalloped rims with openwork accents. The backside is decorated with a foliate scroll ornament made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. Circa: the late 19th century.
OVERALL GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. SIGNS OF WEAR AND AGE. REFER TO PHOTOS.
