Impressive large "Blind Justice" cast bronze sculpture on a marble base by Alois Mayer, circa 1970s. The sculpture depicts the Roman goddess of justice in beautiful bronze. Raising her scales of justice, she stands as an allegory of morality in the judicial system. The piece is in good vintage condition with a fabulous patina coloring and measures approximately 10"W x 10"D x 23"H and weighs about 28lbs. #4912RM
This famous bronze also known as Themis, the Goddess of Justice raising up scales represent measuring out the truth from the lies so that everyone has a chance to fight their battles. The sword represents the will to fight for what's right, and the serpent that she is stepping on represents that good will triumph over evil. A really nice piece that would look great in any home, office or legal office that does not have on already.
