About the Item

Bulk Tea container made of tin and decorated with images and symbols of an American Company named Chase and Sanborn of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. An established coffee and tea roasting entity established in 1864, it was the first company to pack and ship coffee and tea in tins. It has since been sold and resold. This particular container has images of Japan. which shows that during the years that Chase and Sanborn owned the Company, they did business in Japan, probably in the late 20's early 30's.
