About the Item
This pair of vases on stands are unsigned, but presumed to have originated from China and dating to approximately 1960 and done in a period Chinese Export style. The vases are composed of copper with tapered sides and block style bases, with very ornate enameled decoration on a turquoise ground. The sides of both vases are decorated with bordered panels depicting Geisha and flowers, and are done with slightly different colors, and alternating floral patterns. The vases sit on lacquered carved wooden bases with a pierced floral design. The vases stand thirteen and a quarter inches in height without the bases.
