Available from Shogun's Gallery in Portland, Oregon for over 40 years specializing in Asian Arts Antiques. This is a unique Japanese Meiji era (c. 1890) ornate Cloisonné vase. Made of copper, copper alloys and vitreous glass enamel. This vase is 34" tall by 12" in diameter (86 x 30 cm). It weighs about 8lbs. Having been carefully displayed for nearly five decades since acquired by a dedicated local collector, with the exception of a small areas of enamel with hairlines on the back side (see photos) it remains in fine condition. This is a perfect example of Meiji era Japanese cloisonné. This is one of over 110 beautiful examples of this exquisite Japanese art currently being offered by Shogun's Gallery.
