About the Item

This 19th century Chinese court official's winter hat is made of soft black velvet and is covered with red silk fringe. The dark blue knob on the top indicates that this particular hat was a Qing official's hat and the knob is an imperial court cap knob button lapis antique. The bronze bass is in an overlapping fish scale pattern with a blue glass ball imitating that of lapis lazuli. This item comes with a base. In good condition, wear is consistent with age.
