19th Century Window Lattice Screen. Very special Lattice Screen Window Panel from Shanxi China 19th century. Wonderfully assembled sculpted pieces of Cypress wood with each face rounded inward creating a soft inward curve to the face, joined by traditional Chinese tenon
mortise construction. The assembled pieces create the WAN symbols of back to back T shapes which represent the universe, creativity and God, the manifestation of God, Goodness. This is a true architectural piece that exhibits the weathering of more then a century. Beautifully original rustic patina with precision of refined assembly for decorative art.
