About the Item

Material: Paper, Wooden Frame Single: W600×H1760mm Unfolded Size: W3640mm 12kg Folded Size: W620×H1760×D100mm Estimated packaging (sandwiched with 5-10mm plywood): 21cm x 72cm x 187cm, 29kg Plants and birds are boldly painted against a background dotted with gold-lacquered pear-grained fabric. It is likely the work of a Kano school painter. The signature reads "峯雪常行画" The signature includes the character "藤原," so it is thought to be the work of a Kano school painter, but the details are unknown. The work has a sense of its age, so it is thought to be from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period. *There is discoloration and damage on both sides. There are holes and repairs on the back. *Please handle with care as the connections of the folding screens are prone to weakening. They are connected with paper, not hinges, using a special technique Please note that the outermost back is prone to sunburn, so it is in the condition shown in the photo.
