About the Item
Watercolor and gouache on cloth mounted on wood depicting the Buddha and his two disciples Moggallana and Sariputta. Set inside a gold gesso
wood frame with attached brass light. Painted with the Buddha standing atop a lotus, his right hand raised in Abhaya Mudra position. He is below a green foliate flame-form arch raised on columns and flanked by his disciples Sariputta and Moggalana. Above are two Vidyadharas (wisdom holders) both with flowers. More than likely made in Thailand.

Frame: 38 7/8" W x 59 1/4" H x 2" D
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age include heavy losses, fading and flaking to paint, few areas of minor wear to fabric. The frame with chipping, flaking and losses to gilt wood frame.
