A wonderful and rare circa 1830 Chinese export reverse glass portrait painting of unusually large size of a lady in traditional robes holding a closed fan shown sat in front of black backdrop in a black lacquer chair beside red and black cloth-draped round table with European-style flower-filled tazza, covered porcelain tea bowl, and opium pipe in black lacquer stand housed in original carved giltwood frame with original iron hanging-rings and backboards. Sight measures 25.69" x 17.44".
