A Japanese four-panel screen painted on paper and enriched with gold powder, depicting a dramatic combat scene between a yamabushi and two samurai.
The armor, the intense expressions, and the dynamic movement of the figures create an atmosphere charged with tension and energy.
On the left panel appears the artist’s signature and seal.
Period: Meiji, early 20th century
Dimensions: 140 × 188 cm
Condition: The screen is in good condition, with minor age-related wear consistent with use and two vertical paper restorations (approx. 12 cm) on the third panel, as well as a slight vertical moisture stain. A restoration is also visible on the first panel near the signature.
