About the Item

Tall four panel screen with stunning antique Chinese handpainted wallpaper applied to the front. Handpainted wallpapers such as these were created for export, beginning in the 18th century. This design features flowering trees and birds in color on a neutral background. The screen has French canvas hinges, and the design continues from panel to panel. The back is simple, with a wood grid construction. The wallpaper is beautiful for it's age, but note that cracks and patina are evident.

The wallpaper has cracks, wear, minor chips and patina, commensurate with it s age.
