An authentic Japanese antique 19th century treasure to accompany you in meditation, reflection and pleasure- perfect for your home, studio, or an impressive garden choice. We guarantee that its deep and serene reverberating sound will please you. And it is signed by the temple donor. From Japan comes this huge hand-hammered and wrought bronze percussion instrument which was created by specialized 19th century Samurai craftsman with dimpled construction and includes a rare incised signature of donor along rim. This temple bell sets atop a round lacquered footed wood display base with silk pillow and wooden striker. When struck, it creates a big serene reverberating sound perfect for stress relief meditating, or as a warm, welcoming and pleasant house guest dinner chime indoors or out of doors, Dimensions: Big: Ensemble is 28 inches high with display base and 16 inches diameter. The thick signed cast bronze Edo period bell measures 12.5 inches high and 16 inches; diameter. The old striker is 11 inches length. The matching authentic old red lacquered display base is also period. Provenance: Private Nagoya collection.
