About the Item
A gorgeous four-panel Showa Period Japanese Byobu folding screen depicting a beautiful nature scene with a stunning piercing blue blossoming flowers placed along the waterway landscape with distant hills in the background and a small house, perhaps a tea house, tucked in the foreground. The work is titled "Eternal Spring." The vibrant, rich colors and beautiful hand-painted detail of the trees, blooming flowers and surrounding fauna really makes this quite an attractive work.
Original decorative period brass hardware adds another wonderful touch.
Signed (in black ink) and sealed (in red) by the artist.
Likely from the mid to late Showa period (1926-1989).
A beautiful, engaging, and special work. Would be a great addition to any Japanese or Asian art/screen collection or make for an eye catching stand alone accent artwork in almost any setting whether used as a room divider or hung on the wall as a work of art.
