Charming Japanese Showa period hand-painted panel depicting a persimmon branch with leaves. The branch is painted over a gilt background with an intentionally distressed patina to mimic age as seen in photos. The painting is set in a matte black lacquered frame with gilt brocade silk brocade. Vibrant natural pigment colors with a lovely aged finish. Made in Kyoto, Japan. Painted in the Nihonga school style with an illegible artist signature and seal.
