Luxurious golden pine with gold raised relief on gold silk with silk brocade border and black lacquer trim with bronze mounts. Signature and seal read: Takuyo.
Back Label Reads: Sugawara Takuyo (artist). Born in 1931 in Kyoto, he succeeded his family business of lacquering, he specialized in gold foil application, etc. He invented special lacquering skills and applied them to screen, frames, fusuma and furniture.
