Antique Tiger Painting on Paper – Meiji Period A striking depiction of a tiger, painted on paper and signed by the artist. This work was originally part of a Japanese byobu folding screen and can now be beautifully framed in a modern setting. • Medium: Ink and pigments on paper • Size: 134 × 55 cm (52.7 × 21.8 in)  Dimensions do not include the surrounding gilded paper area • Age: Meiji period, late 19th to early 20th century • Weight: 250 g (0.55 lbs) The painting shows natural aging, including patination, small abrasions, minor wear, and a few tiny holes—typical for antique pieces of this kind, as shown in the photos. These features contribute to its authentic vintage character.
