Persian Manuscript Page depicting a garden scene. Circa 18th century.
Hand painted scene depicts a hilly outdoor landscape where people are congregating. One man is seated on a hexagonal wooden piece of furniture. There are three men kneeling in front of him, one offering a round white object and one tuning a stringed instrument. Behind these three stand another two men. Behind the seated man another man stands with his arms crossed over his chest. In front of the seat is a bowl of orange fruit. The hill is decorated with light green floral designs, matching the colors of the robes worn by some of the men.
Presented in a new black mat.
