About the Item
A beautiful set of four Chinese lacquer painted screens. The front includes inlaid pearl vases and flowers and a set of four hard stone characters on each. The back side (indicated by the D rings on the top) include a hand painted narrative scene of women socializing and working in front of a garden landscape and a classical Chinese building.
No obvious makers markings present on this piece. There are Chinese characters on one side of the piece.
In good condition. Gentle wear consistent with age and use. Slightly disconnected section of the center panels.
This lovely set of screen panels would make for a lovely feature on a wall or in any context in any home.
