About the Item

Originally made for photo developing, this antique contact printing frame from Samuel Peck Co. has been reimagined as a display case for something a little wilder. The front now houses a graphic block print of a mythic figure—somewhere between protective deity, stylized mask, and fever dream—with a bold set of teeth and script that feels part Tibetan, part made-up magic. The frame’s back still shows the full hardware setup, with original brass tab, tension springs, and rotating wood locks. Whether you hang it or set it leaning, this piece blurs the line between functional object and found art. 19th-century contact printing frame by Samuel Peck Co.
