About the Item
A beautiful Japanese style woodblock print by Chinese artist Ding Jitang (Ju Tang) featuring a rural peasant scene with two farmers working under a crescent moon by lamp light in the tall grass fields. It is quite an arresting image. The bold colors and wonderful composition makes this quite an attractive work.
Ding Jitang is a contemporary Chinese woodcut artist born in 1935, best known as the founder of the Huxian Peasant Painters School. His work often depicts Chinese countryside village life.
The work is signed, titled and perhaps dated/numbered by the artist in Chinese along the lower margin.
The print is framed and ready to display.
Would be a great addition to any Chinese or Asian art/print collection or make for an eye catching stand alone accent artwork in about any setting.
