Lithography by Henri Rivière, Parisian Landscapes - The Institute and the City This lithography, "Parisian Landscapes - The Institute and the City," is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp in the lower right corner. The work is authentic and old. As for its condition, we note slight fold marks and small stains in the margin. On the lithograph, we note a slight fold mark in the upper right corner, small stains, and minor paint losses in places. The lithograph is very fresh in color; once framed, most of the defects will be barely visible. Sold as presented.Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcut, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors). Paris Landscape, Title Page" Eaus Fortes" is an original etching artwork on paper realized in 1838 by Eugène Bléry (1805-1887). Signed on the plate lower center of the image. The State of preservation is very good except for diffused foxing along the white margin which does not affect the image. The artwork represents in an oval frame the landscape.
