From its rich, saturated colors to the dramatic pose of its heroine, this quite large and stunning print is considered to be one of Yoshitoshi Mori's finest and most rare. The print is stamped, signed, dated (1985) and numbered (15/50) by the artist. The original 1985 price of 400,000 yen for the print alone can be seen written along the bottom edge of the print. I have only seen this print offered once before at a considerably higher price (The print was titled "Crazed Oshichi"). A must-have for collectors or admirers of Yoshitoshi Mori's work or lovers of Japanese prints in general. Would stand out in any collection. The print has been professionally framed. This print was signed and dated in 1960, but not numbered; prints were also pulled from this block in the 1970s, so it must have been one of more popular images.
