Ancient Chinese Jade Cong Artifact from the Liangzhu culture dating back to around 3400-2250 BCE . Neolith period
The circular hole in the middle is an identifying characteristic of such pieces which were primarily used religious ceremonial and religious ceremony representing Earth and Heaven. Many were used as burial tombs representing the afterlife. Often made of Nephrite Jade which is known for its beauty and durability.
